Build Your Own Platform
Data-driven ratings tailored to your organization — from research to code to launch.
How it Works
The Institute for Legislative Analysis houses the most expansive datasets on the U.S. Congress and state legislatures and builds fully customized platforms for Republican-affiliated organizations.
The Impact
Our researchers uncover the “hidden votes” — amendments and procedural motions — bringing new transparency to Congress and the state legislatures. Your custom platform will allow you to:
- #1 Hold Lawmakers Accountable to your state or local party platform or organization’s mission.
- #2 Issue Key Vote Alerts to pressure lawmakers to vote in line with your priorities.
- #3 Make Candidate Endorsements utilizing objective statistical data.
- #4 Grow Membership and Fundraising through a product generating press and social media attention.
Proven Success
The ILA is made up of conservatives – the former staff of the American Conservative Union (CPAC) who have over a decade of experience building the nation’s first 50-state legislative rating system.
Due to the success of the scorecard the team had built at CPAC from 2014 - 2022, they launched the ILA to assist an army of liberty-minded groups ranging from the largest national organizations to small GOP clubs to hold their lawmakers accountable.
Over the past three years, the ILA has made significant investments to construct the most technologically advanced lawmaker grading platform ever deployed. The system was tested in Idaho last election cycle where it was deployed by the Idaho State Party to expose ideological Democrats who had obtained office by running as “Republicans”. The system resulted in the removal of 11 incumbent lawmakers from office – leading to the 2025 Idaho session being widely viewed as the most conservative in over a decade with multiple policy wins.
The Costs
Previously, an organization would be forced to spend over $100,000 (and in many cases multiple times that amount) to hire a team of policy experts to analyze the legislative sessions of both Congress and the state legislature, pull the relevant bills and votes, extract all the lawmaker voting data, and build a fully customized website containing profiles on every federal and state-level lawmaker of a state.
The ILA now provides conservative and liberty-minded organizations with their own fully custom platforms for a fraction of the amount it would otherwise cost. The ILA team can provide a specific quote as the actual cost vary widely but generally range between $8,000 and $30,000.
The ILA is a 501c3 tax-deductible non-profit, with donors typically pooling resources to sponsor a build out of these educational systems. Additionally, the ILA provides significant discounts for multi-platform packages (e.g., multiple state or local chapters of an organization).
